... I Have The Strangest Dreams ...

It's been a while since I've updated because I started a new job and it's just been so full on, all I want to do when I get home is sleep... although I usually get side tracked and stay up for ages anyways :P

Due to the back log, this blog is going to be another photo dump, and I'll do a short review on one of my new favourite things ^_^

Lots has happened since I last updated this, I was blonde for about a week and a half while I waited for my Special FX 'Fish Bowl' blue hair dye to arrive... Everyone loved it, but it was actually torture for me. Especially considering it was white blonde lol

The reason I mention the white hair is because it features in the first lot of photo's...

I've been playing around with white quite a lot lately... Especially on the inner corner of the eye, it makes your eyes look so big!
This look was for the final ever Sin... It was a big night...

Products:
Nutrimetics Eyeliner - Snow White
Miss X Loose Mineral pigment - Diamond Dogs
Hot Topic pressed shadow - Brilliant Teal
Hot Topic pressed shadow - Metallic Royal Blue
Funky Dazzlers False Eyelashes

I did this after my hair dye arrived and I was so excited by the colour my hair turned out that I did my make up in the same colours :)

Products:

Sinner or Saint box loose pigment - Hot Pink
Lime Crime loose pigment - Enchantress
Revlon pressed shadow - Tidal Wave

I am so unbelievably proud of this one... This weekend just gone, a friend of mine had her birthday party, and the theme was Blood and Glitter... So, being me, I decided to go as full on as I could with it. I also had a wand and some kids fairy wings that I covered in fake blood and glitter... It was great...
It took about an hour and a half to get to this point. My only complaint was that by the end of the night it started to get really scratchy, especially the fake blood... and it was SO hard to get off!

Can't really do a product listing on this one because I actually used mostly craft glitter but it was stuck on/together with BYS Gel Applicator, which is a really awesome gel that you can mix with glitter or loose minerals to create a totally different look that will last the whole night...

(As always, all make up is used in conjunction with Lime Crime Candy Eyed eyeshadow primer and latex finish liquid eyeliner)

Me and one of my besties... You can find her awesome blog here: GothyTwoShoes
(don't kill me Natty xx)

Now, for my review...

It will just be a very quick one this time around, but it's on Maybelline 'The Falsies Volum' Express' Mascara :D
I LOVE this mascara. It's not as amazing as the name makes it out to be, but its pretty close.

Cost is around the $17AUD mark from chemists and pretty much anywhere that stocks make up.

This is before, please excuse my awful tired and make up free eyes :P

After one coat of Falsies, this is what my lashes look like, all of a sudden they're there :P

Pretty much speaks for itself.

Coming in the next blog: Picture tutorial on how to easily apply false eyelashes and a review of the Elusion Electronic Cigarette :D

Lots of love...

Crazy Ideas - Pretty Pictures...

It's been a little while since I updated, been very busy with general life stuff, majority awesome, some bad... I'm now single again, which, although my choice has just kinda hit me, missing the snuggles and stuff. But on a good note, I've noticed my make up ideas and inspiration coming back, which I have put into play over the extra long weekend we just had... mostly just going to be a photo dump today :)

This look was one I created for my best friends 25th birthday. The photo's don't really do it justice as the room was quite dark but the colours used were:

Brilliant Teal - Hot Topic Brand
Olive Green - Beauty Spot
Gold Shimmer Dust - Saint or Sinner box
and
Diamond Dogs - Miss X

This look was done for a night out and Unknown nightclub (one of the Goth clubs in my town)
The lashes were a Christmas present from one of my best friends and I hadn't used them yet :)

Black Shimmer Dust - Saint or Sinner box
Pinks and Purples - BYS Metallics Pallette
Purple Glitter Creme - BYS

This one is one of my favourites, EVER... everything about this worked so well, especially the fact that the neon green glows under UV light.
The eyelashes complemented it so well...

Brilliant Teal - Hot Topic Brand
Neon Palette - BYS

I did this look for the Nachtmahr/Grendel concert I went to last night, which was absolutely amazing. I really wanted to experiment with extending the colour beyond my eyes, and after doing one side of my face, I realised that doing both sides would have been far too much...

Brilliant Teal - Hot Topic Brand
Neon Palette - BYS
Also used blue and purple stars which I stuck on with eyelash glue...

All of these looks were held in place with Lime Crime Candy Eyed eyeshadow primer, finished with a standard latex finish liquid eyeliner and on the looks without false eyelashes, I used Maybelline 'Falsies' mascara.

The last 2 are very similar I realise, but I'm really loving this colour combination at the moment. Blue and green just work so well together in my opinion and it really works with my hair too.

Speaking of hair, I tried out a couple of more rockabilly looks this weekend while my best friends girlfriend was in town, what do you think?

Also see my previous blog with a couple of updates on pricing and links :)

First Review: Lime Crime 'Candy Eyed' Eyeshadow Primer.

I couldn't wait any longer to finally be able to do a review of this product in a forum other the Facebook.

Lime Crime is one of the most amazing make up brands I have ever used in general, their eyeshadows are so highly pigmented and great quality, but more on them in the future.

A few months ago they released the 'Candy Eyed' Eyeshadow Primer, and I don't think I've ever used anything quite like it before.

Lime Crime is not stocked in Perth (Australia, where I live) so I order everything online, and I got this as soon as I could, and it came with the promise of turning any eyeshadow into a long lasting, crease and oil free colour. My god, it's almost an understatement. This product literally makes your eyeshadow waterproof.

Recently in Perth, we experienced a heat wave of more than 50 days where the temperature was above 30C - EVERYDAY! Apart from being torturous, it was also particularly difficult for me because, as you may have noticed, I draw my eyebrows on. So every day I would end up with melted, smudged eyebrows - not a good look for anyone! Then one day I came up with the ingenious idea of using this primer before drawing the brows, hey presto, my eyebrows last all day, even after 10 or more hours I still have to scrub with make up remover to get them off.

The real test was when it came to dancing at Unknown (one of Perths goth clubs) on the weekend... and well... a picture is worth 1000 words...

This was my make up before I went out. On a side note, the light gold/white across the top is 'Nymph' by Lime Crime :)

This was when I came home after close to 4 hours of dancing in a corset, in summer and generally just sweating, and my face is red from scrubbing it all off, but you can see the make up stayed on perfectly.

Another thing I've noticed about the primer is that it makes ANY colour look good... you know how you buy an eyeshadow because it looks really great in the packet and then you get it home and try it and it sucks? You wont have that problem anymore.

The primer costs around $20 and is available from: Lime Crime Make Up

I could go on and on about the product, but yeah, basically, buy it, its the best thing ever, every make up kit should have it ^_^

The First Is Always The Hardest.

It's seriously been years (at least 7) since I last wrote an online blog, and back then it was mostly filled with angsty, rebellious, teenage thoughts... this is different.

This blog is designed to be mainly about make up and false eye lashes and the way I use them to express myself and let my inner creative out... to be perfectly honest, the main reason I decided to do this was because I got sick of seeing boring make up blogs, make up blogs that make me think 'I could do that so much better...'.

If you're going to wear bright make up, do it right. I'm self taught, I have no prior training in make up artistry or anything, I simply pick my colours and play with them on my face until they look how I want them to, and then I take a whole heap of photo's (self proclaimed camera whore, I can't deny it). Another thing you'll notice if you are following me, is that I don't use photoshop - I'd rather you see as accurate a picture as possible to how they look in real life, and honestly, I'm only the face behind the make up... and it's a happy face! ^_^

So, once I get my butt into gear, I will be posting photo's, doing reviews, ranting about stuff and maybe one day doing photo tutorials (we'll see how we go)... but to start things off and give you a taste of what I like and what I do:

Until then...
